So, my life is super hectic right now since my family is making a major move from Georgia to North Carolina. My reading time is really limited so I’ve been doing a lot quick and easy reads of novellas and short stories. Just in time for Hallloween a group of authors put together and awesome book of 13 short stories with a lot of suspense and a little bit of saucy. The best part? 100% of the proceeds go to St. Jude’s which is a charity near and dear to my heart.

Let me start off by saying that the name of the book is Shiver and how perfect is that for a Halloweeny read? And the name does it justice as all the book send shivers whether by creepy factor or the shiver of ovaries. Each read had its own unique story line which kept my reading fresh and my mind interested.

I can without a doubt say, and I don’t think I’m being bias even though she IS one of my absolute favorite author’s that Jodie Beau’s story,  Lights Out, was without a doubt my absolute favorite. Her writing is so true to life and witty. And I laughed through the entire thing. And she does that in so few words but without leaving the story lacking. As a stay at home, Pinterest perfect wanna be mom, I could relate so easily to the main character in the story. A lot of times I read just to read and most of those stories don’t really seem to stick with me but hers always do and Lights Out is no exception to this rule.

Another great thing about the Shiver Tales is that I had the chance to be introduced to several authors that I had never read before. Belle Aurora, Daisy Prescott, Penny Reid are just some of the names featured in the book that I had been itching to read. By doing so, I received a great little taste of all their writing styles that earned these author’s a new fan. This was great exposure to some new writing styles I fell to love. And will definitely be picking up some of their other work because of their awesome little, saucy read.

Go help some kids and pick up your copy of Shiver: 13 Sexy Tales of Humor and Horror. You get a fun and fantastic read for Halloween but it’s not so scary you can’t read alone!

Easy Virtue by Mia Asher

If you haven’t read Arsen by Mia Asher yet, you should get on that. Like, put down what you’re currently reading and read it instead. Because it’s heartbreaking and ridiculously good! And I’ve never been so angry at a book in all my life. #TeamArsen!

But through reading Arsen, Mrs. Asher became one of those authors that I will buy her books sight unseen. Because I have that much faith in her talent. I was lucky enough to meet her in Atlanta at a signing and she is personally just as lovely as her writing. THEN! I received the first chapter of her new book coming out on December 3rd called Easy Virtue and OH! MY! GAAAAAAAAHHHD! I wanted to punch the promotions people in the face for just leaving me like that. I am excited, like kids on Christmas with matching pajamas, EXCITED. I’ve been waiting on this one for awhile and seriously December third CAN NOT COME FAST ENOUGH.

But luckily we get to see this little beauty before then. So without further ado, here’s the cover to Mia Asher’s new one, Easy Virtue. Just do yourself a solid and go ahead and pre-order this one when the time comes.

Wow! What can I say?

Unique.

That’s what I loved about Conspire. It was a fresh concept for me to read. Although it definitely has its romance elements it was more than just a romance story for me. There was action and suspense. Totally not what I was expecting from S.E. Hall but man what a great read. I haven’t had the pleasure of reading anything from Erin Noelle before Conspire but for sure will pick up a book of hers now.

This publication is full of so many great elements to a revolving story that I’m pretty sure I’ll read it again. It’s complicated and involved but written in a way that was easy to follow and understand. A lot of times when reading novels dealing with conspiring ideas and or people pretending to be something they are not, details get muddled but both of these authors did a fantastic job of writing a story that was concise and developed at just the right speed.

This is one you do not what to miss! I love new and fresh and that’s exactly what Conspire is. If you need something to cleanse that romance reading palate but still want to enjoy a little angst, this is the book for you. You won’t be sorry you picked this one up!

Fave Quotes:

“Appearances, however, can most definitely be deceiving, because internally, I feel like a chaotic mess, a bird caged from birth set free with no idea how to fly, much less to where.”

“…but that’s why they call it faith. You’ll never see it, be able to reach out and touch it, but sometimes, you have nothing else to guide you.”

The final installment to the Logan West/Cassandra Clarke love story has finally arrived and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book. If you have yet to read Inevitable or Irreplaceable STOP RIGHT NOW. You must read those two books before continuing to this one.

Angela Graham has one of the most classy and graceful writing styles I’ve found and every time one of her books are released I fall in love with it even more.

I have seriously enjoyed this series. Everything about it is just perfect for my TBR. I adore Logan West with all his faults and being a single, devoted dad is just the icing on the cake. And Cassandra isn’t one of those annoying female characters full of unnecessary drama and always causing an issue in their relationship. These two go through so much together and Indestructible brings together an ending that is well deserved and beautifully written. I think my favorite part of Indestructible was all the art that takes place. I really enjoyed how creative and thoughtful Logan was and the way it was woven into his story. It’s a refreshing thing to read when a main male character can be the perfect blend of compassionate AND alpha. There’s so much feeling of family throughout and it’s just always a pleasure to read. Every character is important for the roles that they continue to play to each other. Even the friendship in the story have a significant meaning to each and every character and where they are at in life. Even though there is a part of me that is said to leave Logan and Cassandra behind, it feels good to know the ending to their story and that I’m left feeling positive. Graham did a great job finishing out the Harmony series with a read that leaves you satisfied.

If you have yet to read this series, for shame. Pick it up.

If you haven’t read any of the other Cranberry Inn books STOP NOW! Go here and purchase them. Room for You is first in the series, followed by Room for More. http://tinyurl.com/ljvx45q

How can you NOT love Brody? Every time I read these books the first thing that comes to mind is just how incredibly sweet this story is. It’s not full of ridiculous unneeded drama. It pretty closely follows the type of issues that everyone seems to deal with in life, minus the Hockey player status. I love how real these books feel and there’s a part of me that’s a little sad the series is over.

Room for Just a Little Bit More does an awesome job of wrapping everything up nicely. Kaci is a strong female character that I think a lot of books lack these days. I love how everything ended and how sweet and kind Brody is even though he is an alpha male.

These are a definite recommend. If you’re looking for something that’s a super sweet read with a little hot mixed in, don’t miss this series.
